  • A major roadway project by Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in Dalhart will invest $26 million to rehabilitate US 54 (from the Rita Blanca Creek bridge to US 87). The project includes full pavement replacement, sidewalk upgrades to comply with ADA standards, and improved traffic signals. 

  • The city has a published 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) that lists projects for utility infrastructure, pavement repairs, and other public works. In cooperation with the EDC, the city has developed this Comprehensive Plan that will guide infrastructure, transportation, utilities, downtown revitalization, housing, and growth patterns over the next 10-20 years.

  • The Dalhart Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) maintains an Infrastructure Grant Program to incentivize private property/building owners to invest in critical infrastructure.
